Books I Recommend:

A Brief History of Time is a book that shows the modern path of Shamanism in that it encompasses all aspects of universe and perception.

The Orgon Accumulator Handbook is an example of how the body can use its lifeforce energy to heal itself as well as showing how the energy fields of modern technology can be destructive to the human body.

The Holistic Herbal is great for the beginner of herbology. This book has simple diagrams of the internal human body and brief descriptions of the herbs and their functions.

Local Energetics

I’ve always thought it interesting how people would want to know how to play energy in a way that would help them manifest something in their life yet they wouldn’t see how things were flowing (or not) in their immediate space.

For years I did the traveling and teaching scene and would get commissioned to go to a home or business to tweak things for a more positive result. I can’t remember how many times I saw the problem as soon as I walked in the door.

After one lecture a woman showed me pictures of her house and property and said she would like to have her place open to the metaphysical community for classes, meditations and workshops. I saw from the pictures it was a beautiful place that was very open with a well manicured property with awesome gardens. She said people would come by to look at it and not come back or follow through with appointments after the initial meeting. I agreed to go there and see what I could do.

The house and property was as beautiful as the pictures however the pictures didn’t show the seven cats, two dogs, screaming parrot and the overwhelming smell that reminded me of a backroom of a pet store.

I told her she needed to clean up and relocate, even if only temporary, anything that might be a distraction to any type of gathering. “Like what?” she asked. I told her what I saw and smelled as I picked off fleas. She told me it was her home and no one had the right to tell her how to keep her house. I told her I couldn’t help her.

Energy needs to flow to remain fresh and healthy. When it becomes stagnant it gets sickly and starts to drain the good energy from the immediate environment.

Even in the construction phases I kept ceremonial sites clean and orderly. When I had my woodshops I swept and vacuumed as much as possible after my work period, every day.

The topic of energy is vast and every part of it can go on as far as you can imagine. Everything we do in metaphysics has to do with energy. It starts with the individual and extends to their immediate environment. That’s as 101 as you can get.

Look at temples, martial art, yoga and dance studios. They are built open because you are the energy of that discipline and you need to move freely. So does the energy of your manifestations.

Think about what it is you want to do and look at yourself and your environment. If you and your work area are sloppy and un kept you are not using the maximum potential.

When I was a martial arts instructor I worked extra hard at keeping myself in top shape because I made my living with my body.  I kept my work area neat and clean. These are things your clients look at as signs how you think of yourself and how you think of them and that is an important part of energetics because it stimulates an energy signature.

That’s a little about the inside now let’s go out.

I knew another woman that used to let her house be used by visiting Shamans and such for readings and gatherings that were held mostly in her back yard. It was small like you would normally see in back of a townhouse but it was cute and had your typical South Florida plants along a privacy fence. She called me to look at her place because she would experience abdominal pains when she would have these gatherings. (Later I’ll get into how different emotions live in different parts of the body)

She had a very neat and peaceful home and the yard was well kept. In between the plants was coral rock gravel that worked as paths. She ceremoniously started and ended her days in her yard with visits from friends in between.

I was sitting on her back step and noticed there weren’t any weeds at all in the planted areas or paths. I asked her if she sprayed and got a surprised “Of course not! Why would you ask me such a thing?” I told her there weren’t any weeds anywhere (If you aren’t familiar with South Florida, it’s very prolific.) and she said she used a ground cloth. After a little exploration I discovered that under the plants and gravel, entire back yard was covered with a black ground cloth that was loaded with mold under that.

(I forgot to mention that most of the ceremonies held there were for cleansings centered around releasing negative energies.)

I told her the ground cloth had to come up and thrown out. The yard needed to be graded so that everything flowed away from the house and she needed to be ok with an occasional weeding.

The day after I pulled up and threw out the ground cloth she called gave me an excited phone call saying how she just had a huge bowel movement. A bit out of the norm for my usual Shamanic phone call but good news just the same since she had been experiencing difficulty with that flow since about the time she put down the ground cloth.

That gave me the idea to shape the pathway as curves similar to the bowels, starting from the back door of her house to the gate at the end of her yard.

As far as I know she always flowed well after that and the number of people that came to her house for these gatherings tripled.

Look at yourself. Do you flow or are you stagnant? Are you looking for cures outside yourself to help your life and business? What does your home and work area look like? What do they smell like?

You can do all the manifesting magik you want, if your immediate area (that includes you) is blocking a clean flow you can’t expect things to change that quickly, if at all.

   It’s just that simple.
