Looks like it’s time to get onto another project. I think I have all of my old and new questions for potential benefactors in order so that I only get onto projects that are populated by serious people that have a sense of follow through and foresight.
It would be nice to get onto a project that had a real plan that was thought out, had people with well rounded experience, had thought of the things that could fall short or just go wrong and had back up plans, had people who were experienced in coming up with last minute back up plans and doing them and had people who were honest about their intentions. Nothing sucks more than being on a project for a couple years getting the project to a sustainable state and have the owners of the project see they can sell the project to the local developer or new age guru as a turn key operation and tell you their spirit guide/great mother/angel/departed spouse who now lives in the body of their pet/gifted child/wind or other source of divine guidance told them to do so as they pack their bags for their next “spiritual assignment” in the tropics with their new wad of cash.
I’ve been on projects that closed because the owner wanted to sell out so he could take a couple year vacation to figure out if he was an elf or a fairy. One white woman sold a project that was on the cutting edge of geomantic building so she could move to Hawaii to teach Hawaiians about their culture. Something she just got into.
Another woman closed her project after she discovered that all of the mannequins she had (about 20) were channeling the dead owners of the property and making everyone who worked on the project act they way do. She would varify these bits of information by pulling on one of her body parts. One of the women working on the project came to me crying because this owner had her help wrap a mannequin in plastic and carpet and bury it under a pile of trash in the barn because it was being bad.
One owner of a project decided she needed to let the project go because it was too hard on her to go on party cruises and have to frequently communicate with the key people on her project, about her project, her brother who was recovering from crack and her exboyfriend who was not part of the project but insisted he was the alpha male.
I promise I am not making all this up. Just when I think I’ve heard it all, I get surprised, and sometimes stunned and that’s a hard one to pull off. I can say I have been part of some great projects and accomplished a lot of good things with some great people. I have seen the very best that humanity has to offer.
I’m willing to entertain all offers of all kinds of projects. Please don’t take offense to me asking very detailed questions about the planning and intricacies of your project and a few personal questions about you and your life. While I enjoy the sensation that being stunned can sometimes provide, I don’t need the practice.
I’m looking for a longtime project in forming an intentional community of not so normal but realistic people.
