Books I Recommend:

A Brief History of Time is a book that shows the modern path of Shamanism in that it encompasses all aspects of universe and perception.

The Orgon Accumulator Handbook is an example of how the body can use its lifeforce energy to heal itself as well as showing how the energy fields of modern technology can be destructive to the human body.

The Holistic Herbal is great for the beginner of herbology. This book has simple diagrams of the internal human body and brief descriptions of the herbs and their functions.

Our Way.

This has been one of the more active Shamanic years I’ve seen in a while. Apprentices starting their journeys, apprentices finishing their journeys and others becoming Shaman and Shaman leaving this world. So goes our way.

For those of you starting your journeys: You’ve had enough and you needed to get away. You had to do something while you were young. Get some life stories. Get some strange. Fuck Shamanism. Fuck being fucked with. Fuck the flow. Fuck being someone’s fuck toy.  Yeah, we’ve been there and got the T shirt. After all, what did you really learn? How did you improve yourself. What changed about you in all that time? What was the point?

For those of you who are finishing your journeys: Told ya, ha!

For those of you who became Shaman: That wasn’t so bad was it? What do you think about that feeling that came over you when you got it? Kind of like those “who dunnit” movies when all the pieces come together at the end and you are racing to catch up. That’s why we told you to always finish what you start. Sucks living between realities, huh?

For those of you who left: We had some good times, didn’t we? See ya next round and hope it’s not here.

About one tenth of one percent of the people we work with make it through the training to even get to the journey phase. Less than a third make it through that phase to continue to Shaman. Odd accidents are number one, followed by murder then suicide. ( Statistics are a little better for those who signed up for “courses.”) Only had two take their lives this year and that was in this month. A few of us have seen one death by a fall coming and another by group beating.  We have six females in our ranks this year and three already have their first projects lined up. We have two Shaman who had their first apprentices go on their journeys this year and I had my last. I have a few words for you two.

I want you two to remember a few things. I told you in the beginning that just because you made it didn’t mean you were going to stay here and the test would be if you got someone to work with. You did and now you are at that point where your Shaman was when they let you go. You wonder if they know why you were who you were and you care what they think about the time they spent with you. You might feel you were hard on them as you shaped them on the anvil. You’ll get over it. Just like you agreed to do the pictures, you agreed to let them walk into their end as well if they didn’t cut it. It’s over for now. They’re gone and in no time you will have someone else in your life, a new project or both and you will be back in the flow. Missed it didn’t you? You missed the group thing you couldn’t do when you were in app. lock down. You missed the jazz and you missed being you. That our way, ladies. We train them for what is coming. We fall in love with them. We set them up for victories and failures, we teach them drive, discipline and strength and we prep them for the time they leave us. We miss them. We miss them because for a short time they were our best friends and lovers. Sometimes they come back to continue and then you can be you. Sometimes they lose themselves and never return. Sometimes we bury them. Let them go ladies. You are Shaman and this is our way.

So hey every body, party at my project for those who are coming home! You know the drill.
