It happened just like you would see it in a movie. The biggest crow I’ve ever seen was standing in the doorway of the barn I use as my wood shop, flapping his wings and screaming at me as I saw the vision.
I grew up hearing the stories of signs from nature that told you of things that were going to or already happening to other people you know. The crow is the messenger of the after life. He will come and give messages or warnings and sometimes leave his calling card, a feather, as he did today, to show you he’s serious.
Years ago a dear friend Susan’s mother was very sick and on her way out. Susan had called me to say that there were hundreds of crows in the trees around her house and they had been there for a few days. She wanted to know if it might be a sign and I told her of the crow’s mission. I went to her house and really saw hundreds of crows in the trees like she said. I told her the crows would leave with her mother, and they did.
Crow doesn’t do this for everyone. He tells Warriors, Shamans and Medicine people his words and he only escorts the special ones to the after life. Today he showed me a vision of someone I love being attacked and suffering trauma that would last the rest of her life. I saw her crying in a hospital. I had been seeing these things for the last few days but just thought of them as me being concerned about her being alone in her environment. Crow confirmed those visions. I watched the pictures unfold as he cawed and flapped his wings. He jumped at me to fly away and left a feather as he flew past my face.
She is far away and on a journey. She had picked up many crow feathers that were left in a pile on another project I was on. Crow knows her and left this feather so I could give it to her so that she could barter with Death. In five days I have the opportunity to travel in her general direction and possibly give the feather to her but I don’t know exactly where she will be at that time or if I will be able to get to her.All I can do is hope I get the message to her.
In a few hours the Sun will set and I will burn the sage at the altar by the creek. I will fan the smoke with the feather. We will sing the songs of the passing.
Today at about 3PM…..two crows appeared in front of my car and both flew to the left of me…….to me, when they go left, things have passed, when they fly to my right, it is time of caution…..Crows seem to have many messages sometimes…I had a small conversation with one about two months ago but we could not seem to get beyond “what are you saying”….it was then that I knew that there was more to their communication.

Seems like crow fits in with anything that will help one see the synchronicity of the moment; as in essence, there is no space and time. Crow will help determine why we are manifesting anything in any particular moment, as will anything we see as a guidepost in nature.
